DALO Industry Days 2026 in Denmark stands apart from the major international defence shows, even though it is positioned as the largest defence industry exhibition in Scandinavia. Its focus is on direct engagement between defence companies, procurement professionals, military specialists and decision-makers.
This is precisely why AKM Group-CZ used DALO as a working platform for meetings, business dialogue and cooperation.
On 19–20 August 2026, DALO Industry Days was held at the MCH Messecenter Herning for the first time, with the event expanding to 1,244 exhibitors from 28 countries. This growth reflects a broader range of manufacturers, technologies and professional contacts.
Particularly interesting was the combination of major platforms and systems with start-ups and highly specialised technology companies. It is often at these intersections that solutions emerge which have not yet become mainstream but may shape the next stage of development in specific areas. This is an area we pay close attention to.
For AKM Group-CZ, demonstrations and practical dialogue are especially important: how does a system perform in real conditions? How ready is it for operational use? And how effectively can it be integrated with platforms and systems already in service?
From Armoured Vehicles to Unmanned Systems
This year’s exhibition featured armoured vehicles, unmanned and sensor systems, missile technologies, communications, IT, equipment and tools supporting military operations.
Some of the equipment was presented in open-air demonstration areas, allowing manufacturers to showcase their products directly to those who may ultimately procure, integrate or operate these systems.
A notable example was the field of autonomous micro-drone systems. Solutions were presented that can operate from military vehicles or fixed positions, with automated launch, recovery and recharging capabilities.
Can Drones Replace Traditional Systems?
This question became the focus of a dedicated discussion on uncrewed systems and artificial intelligence.
The central issue was not the drone technology itself, but a much more complex question: can autonomous systems deliver the required operational effect?
What role do algorithms play in achieving it? And how will the growing adoption of autonomous technologies influence future defence investments?
In other words, the discussion focused on which functions currently performed by traditional platforms could be transferred to unmanned systems — and where human presence and heavy equipment remain indispensable.
AKM Group-CZ at DALO 2026: Working with the Market
For AKM Group-CZ, the focus was not limited to new equipment and technologies. Equally important were the opportunities for future supply and the development of international industrial cooperation.
Personal meetings with existing partners were particularly valuable. Such direct contact enables us to maintain long-term business relationships while moving on to discussions about new products and potential areas of cooperation.
At the same time, DALO provided AKM with an opportunity to expand its professional network and meet new manufacturers, including companies specialising in armoured platforms, unmanned systems, sensors, communications and other defence technologies.
For us, the key questions are practical: which new products and technology categories can create real value for the company’s future activities, how mature these solutions are, and how quickly can a professional dialogue develop between a manufacturer and an end user?
DALO Industry Days 2026 once again demonstrated the value of a focused industry environment where technology is discussed not simply as a product, but in terms of its practical application, integration and potential for cooperation
