The passing of 2024 was marked by the following shipment of ammunition – large-calibre cartridges under a previously signed contract with our partner.
Despite the pre-New Year season and other logistical challenges, our team met the planned deadlines for this shipment. This once again proves the experience and high professionalism of AKM Group-CZ.
More and more often, we hear information from the media about low-quality ammunition and weapons reaching their end users. We ship only tested products of high quality – this is the basis of our operating philosophy. Quality control of products, as in this case of large-calibre ammunition, begins at the manufacturer’s factory.
Each batch undergoes mandatory fire tests. We select ammunition from each pallet according to an established scheme, taking samples from different tiers. The established sampling scheme eliminates randomness and ensures that the same standards are met for each test, providing a uniform analysis of the ammunition. The sampled ammunition is then marked with markers for identification and traceability of the control.
Our specialists, together with the factory’s specialists, carry out a multi-stage quality check of the ammunition.
We carry out test firing both at the range and in a special 100-metre tube, which allows us to conduct precise controlled tests of ammunition, measuring pressure, velocity and other critical parameters in absolute conditions.
The ammunition is fired both from a machine gun and on a special ballistic test bench, which allows us to check the functionality of the ammunition in combat conditions and measure its ballistic characteristics. All characteristics are recorded by a computer, tabulated, and the summary tables are checked against the declared technical specifications and certificates.
During firing, the cartridges are checked for misfires and jams, and the casings are checked for deformations.
After the ammunition is checked for compliance with technical specifications, labelled and packaged, the products continue to be under our strict supervision at all stages of transportation until they are delivered to the End User.
Thanks to this approach to ammunition quality control, we are confident in the reliability and safety of every cartridge we supply.
