A landmark event for AKM Group-CZ, a.s. took place these days. The first batch of 120 mm mines, manufactured as part of the ‘Production Ramp-up Programme’ approved by us at the end of 2024, was delivered to the company’s warehouses.
It should be noted that the joint production of scarce 120 mm mines is one of the most important areas of the ‘Programme’. As we can see today, it is being successfully implemented. A few years ago, the Management Board of AKM Group-CZ, a.s. identified the development of production capacities as one of the company’s key areas.
In 2023, AKM Group-CZ, a.s. initiated the preparatory work for launching of joint with partners production of weapons and ammunition.
The preparatory work for joint production of 120 mm mines took over a year and included a set of technical and technological solutions developed by our specialists. During this time, design documentation was prepared, component suppliers were selected, their production capacities and technologies were inspected, and product quality was tested. The contracts for the supply of components have been drawn up, and the Expert and transit licences have been issued for the supply of components to the place where mines are assembled.
Also a test batch of 120-mm mine samples was manufactured. The products underwent testing. Then the certification and codification according to NATO standards took place and serial production was launched.
As a result, the first batch of new-made 120-mm mines on seven 20-tonne long trucks was successfully delivered to the warehouses of AKM Group-CZ, a.s.
AKM Group-CZ, a.s. is ready to promptly supply our end user with 120 mm mines, and we already have an order for delivery.
