The global geopolitical situation is making significant adjustments to the strategic thinking of European countries. This is particularly noticeable in the development of the defence industry. At the FEINDEF 2025 international exhibition, which took place from 12 to 14 May in Madrid, our team saw further confirmation of this. Spain, which has long been focused on foreign markets, is now following other EU countries in embracing the trend towards independence from external monopoly suppliers. Local production is becoming a priority, as is support for joint production with partners.
Of the more than 600 participants at FEINDEF 2025, more than two-thirds were Spanish manufacturers. Although, unlike Germany, the United States or Israel, Spain does not have a globally recognised weapon brand of its own, it does have a number of niche defence products that have earned respect in professional circles.
Among the trends at the exhibition, we can highlight the traditional focus of manufacturers on developments in the field of UAVs. This has been relevant for several years and remains unchanged for every defence event of this format. There were hundreds of interesting new products at the exhibition.
The production of ammunition is of particular interest to the international defence market. Europe needs millions of reserves. The development and expansion of production in this area is very important.
It is important to note that Spain is interested in joint production. It was also important for our company to discuss cooperation options with local manufacturers. We successfully held a series of negotiations. By the end of 2025, interesting memoranda of cooperation between AKM Group-CZ and Spanish manufacturers may be signed.
Overall, the FEINDEF 2025 exhibition left a positive impression. Our company remains committed to its principles of always selecting only the best products on the modern defence market and providing our partners with reliable, high-quality goods.
