With the growing intensity of hostilities in various regions of the world, particularly in the Middle East, the strain on global supply chains for weapons and ammunition is increasing. The escalation of the security situation in the Persian Gulf region, along with the ongoing full-scale war in Ukraine, is contributing to increased competition for resources in the international defense market, which may potentially lead to shortages of weapons and ammunition.
Under such conditions, the ability of companies to ensure stability and continuity of supply, as well as to build up their own reserves of products for prompt response to customer needs, becomes of particular importance.
Strategy and Programmes
The Czech company AKM Group-CZ is consistently implementing a long-term development strategy aimed at strengthening its production and logistics capabilities.
Within the framework of the Production Ramp-up Programme, and in cooperation with international partners, serial production of various types of weapons and ammunition has been established, including 120 mm mortar rounds.
120 mm mortar rounds remain one of the key elements of fire support on the modern battlefield. They ensure effective engagement of:
- personnel,
- equipment and fortified positions,
and also play an important role in deterring enemy offensive actions.
The company has already completed a number of deliveries of these products, which have received positive feedback based on their practical use under real combat conditions and have confirmed their reliability and quality.
Warehousing and Stockpiles
In addition to fulfilling contractual obligations, AKM Group-CZ places significant emphasis on building its own warehouse stockpiles. As of today, more than 150 product items of military and dual-use designation are permanently available in the company’s warehouses, which makes it possible to:
- ensure uninterrupted supply,
- fulfill urgent orders promptly.
Recently, another batch of 120 mm mortar rounds has been delivered to the company’s warehouses, with a total volume equivalent to six heavy-duty trucks. The products were manufactured at partner production facilities, have undergone strict quality control, and possess all necessary certifications, including codification in accordance with NATO standards, and comply with modern requirements for this class of ammunition.
