The Eurosatory 2022 arms and defence technology exhibition, held from 13 to 17 June in Paris, brought together leading players in the defence industry from all over the world.More than 1500 companies and representatives from 63 countries demonstrated developments in the field of military technologies and armaments.
The outbreak of a full-scale war in Ukraine has dramatically changed the strategic situation in Europe and stimulated EU and NATO countries to start strengthening their own defence and military alliance. In such conditions, there is a growing interest in the latest defence technologies, such as air defence, drones, and cyber defence. At the exhibition, mobile and lightweight defence systems that can protect strategic facilities were of relevance among visitors.
Not surprisingly, UAVs and autonomous vehicle systems were in the spotlight, not for the first year.
Likewise, modern defence technologies are actively integrating AI. New AI-based fire control, data analysis and data management systems promise improved troop effectiveness and faster decision-making.
Eurosatory 2022 showed that the modern defence industry continues to move towards automation and versatility. Manufacturers are striving to create increasingly versatile and adaptable systems that can operate equally effectively in completely different environments.
