International defence exhibition MSPO took place in Poland: representatives of AKM Group-CZ assessed market novelties and held business negotiations

From 6 to 9 September 2022, the 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2022) was held in Kielce, Poland. The exhibition gathered 600 companies from 33 countries presenting advanced military technologies, armoured vehicles, artillery, communication systems and autonomous solutions. New trends in the development of combat platforms, weapons modernisation and digital technologies for defence attracted the attention of the participants.

Key Trends and Technologies

1. Growing interest in mobile artillery systems

One of the main focuses of MSPO 2022 has been the development of self-propelled artillery systems (SPAS) capable of operating in highly mobile environments.

2- Armoured vehicles and the concept of modularity

Companies actively demonstrated armoured personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) with the ability to quickly adapt to different missions.

– Lynx KF41 (Rheinmetall) – German modular combat vehicle with the ability to install various combat modules.

– Rosomak XP – a new version of the Polish armoured personnel carrier with enhanced protection.

3. unmanned platforms and autonomous systems

Unmanned technologies have become an important part of the exhibition, especially in the field of ground-based robotic platforms and aerial drones. Technologies presented by Thales, Leonardo and Saab showed that the future lies in the integration of artificial intelligence and big data into military systems.

The exhibition was an important platform for AKM Group-CZ to negotiate contracts.

Conclusions and Outcomes

MSPO 2022 confirmed that key areas of the defence industry are shifting towards mobility, digitalisation and autonomous technologies. The exhibition demonstrated a high interest in advanced artillery systems, armoured vehicles with modular architecture and advanced surveillance capabilities. The development of international cooperation and technological advances show that the defence sector continues to dynamically adapt to new challenges. AKM Group-CZ team is pleased with the results of our participation, with several contracts already being prepared and planned to be signed.
